Maria Hayes Art Exhibition in Y Caban - Behold

This exhibition documents the event of spring arriving in my garden through my attempt to capture the blossom on my trees. Some of the drawings are made with a pruned, sharpened branch that has been dipped in ink. In this way the drawing of the blossom was made with the tree itself.

I watch as the bees pollinate the blossom as they collect nectar and create drawings called Making  A Bee Line. Although apparently abstract, they are in fact acutely observed drawings. I follow the trajectory of a bee as it moves between blossoms.

Dr. Maria Hayes  is a well known accomplished artist and teacher and we are privileged to have her exhibition here for this month.
